For myself, a dose of online Pirates usually helps. Not that it stops me from thinking, but at least then I get to lie in bed listening to my brain obsess about whether Nassau in the Bahamas might be a good source of fir logs for building the masts of wooden ships, instead of whether it’s morning in the USA yet and is anyone reading my submission and whether the average response time of 2.2 days as listed on Duotrope is the average for a weekend or a weekday and should I just pop out of bed right now to check where it is in the queue??
