It was just LOVELY.

I’m pretty sure all the attendees were women – at least, I didn’t notice any men around except for hotel staff and the All Blacks, with whom the universe had seen fit to grace the hotel for the same weekend as the conference!

I had some discussion with Rowena Cory Daniells about the Romance community back when I first started writing about specfic. Her approach to supporting other authors and spruking other authors in her field owed a large part to how she was treated by the Romance community.

Every time I hear someone criticize the Romance community I chuckle and think how the romance community doesn’t give a hoot and keeps on producing work and selling stock, and producing authors.
