Yay. After the long wait with the whole, iWhat is Spikedoing?/i Buffy is finally back.
Comments behind my lj-cut text=”cut tag”
So I was a little apprehensive going into Season 7. I didn’t think Season 6 was their best ever and I’d heard there was going to be a iDawn in High School/i focus and I wasn’t really sure I was going to be into that.
Behold, the beginning of the episode throws us into a Buffy playing Mom and Xander and Buffy playing house scenario… they try to distract you with t h e iI made cereal/i comment. But *I* could not look away. Anyway, I will save anymore bitching for Spike’s hair, which was, well, um, you can tell he’s in quite an emotional state, nonetheless.
But seriously. I’m back! That was the creepiest episo d e I’ve seen i n a while. I was really quite scared and had to watch Dark Angel straight after to forget about the manifested spirits before I went to bed. I maintain anything that appears in the mirror but not behind you is damned scary (see that X-Files episode where Scully gets out of the shower and looks in the mirror…).
And I loved the link at the end between the manifested spirits (who are legacies of the past and past episodes) and Spike and each of the Season’s nemeses. As though the whole ser i es has been on one large arc. Bring it on!!!!/lj-cut/
