Champagne and Socks

This is my first post in my new personal journal. I’ve been contemplating moving away from Livejournal, my home for over 10 years, for a long time. After a discussion we had about it on Galactic Suburbia out of which came the title – because I was drinking Champagne and knitting socks – I knew it was time to bite the bullet.

It’s going to take me a while to get used to journalling here – the format is not one I am used to for composing thought pieces. It’s been a while since I regularly kept a personal blog. And I want to take the chance to redefine my online presence. I don’t yet know what that means or what boundaries I feel there should be. I’m considering it a work in progress ’til I get there.
