I have a whole glorious, currently pristine, weekend laying out before me! I just love the feeling of the potential of a weekend on Friday night. Anything and everything is still possible.
I was supposed to be heading up north on Monday as part of a work field trip but have opted to instead stay behind in the office this week to finish work. Reduction in work load will be good. A very quiet office with everyone else up north will be soothing to my soul and help me conquer workload. AND in anticipation of the field trip, I kept this weekend’s schedule clear. And I just heard C tell someone who found a job for me that I “intended to not leave the house on Saturday.” Seriously I love that man so much!
So I have a whole glorious weekend to relax and do whatever I want.
This being me we’re talking about you know my first reaction was to think about a goal list for the weekend. Yeah yeah I KNOW!
It’ll be something like this:
- Read Mockingjay
- Work on Twelve Planets
- Update ASif!
- Work on paperwork
- Fix some of the tweaks and additions to the new Twelfth Planet Press website (which has shopping software that i LOVE)
- Finish unpacking in the lounge
- Reorganise the kitchen
- Finish sorting The Craft
- Start a new pair of socks
- Listen to Brenda Dayne’s Knitter’s Manifesto
- Finish Season 1 of Life on Mars (UK)
- Bake something
That might do for now.
I like making plans and goal lists. Even when it’s for fun things. C will be posted to a new posting next year and at some point he will go to sea again. I’ve been thinking a lot about what I’ll do and how I’ll go. I think I’ll be ok. I’ve lived by myself for an extended period of time. And that made me independent and I’m a little glad that in a way, I need to remain so. I think that will mean I don’t cross that personal line again, in life. At the moment though, I’m thinking I might run some kind of project for myself whilst he’s away, along the lines of the one in Julie and Julia. But different. I got a while to think about it. Luckily.
